• Suburban Singles Scene - The conversations in this blog will be the source for a print column in Suburban Scene magazine, serving Crofton, Gambrills, Piney Orchard, & Odenton, Maryland. We welcome comments from singles in any area, as well as those of you who used to be single.

Local Support & Social Groups

• Baltimore Society of Young Professionals - an innovative networking and socializing organization targeting "Young Professionals" in the Baltimore area. Most of our members are between 21 and 45, although people who fall over this age range are welcome at our events, as long as they are young in spirit.
• Bowie Area Singles - a social group for singles over 40. Call 301-336-4532 or 301-262-9155
• Crabtowne Skiers -Crabtowne Skiers is the premier Annapolis ski, sports, and activities club.
• DC Society of Young Professionals - Most of our members are between 21 and 45. However, people who feel that they fall over this age range are more than welcome at our events, as long as they are young in spirit.
• DC Society of Forty Plus Professionals - Most of our members are above age forty. However, You do not have to be over age forty to attend; you just have to wish to attend an event where the majority of attendees will be over age forty.
• LA Singles- holds dances Fridays at 8:30 p.m. at Bowie Knights of Columbus. Dances are open to singles and is popular with the over-30 crowd
• Maryland's Upscale Singles - is a social club for single professionals over 30 that offers an alternative to the traditional "singles scene."
• Parents without Partners (Howard County ) - PWP is a fun and supportive group for single parents and their children.
• Singles Golf DC - Our goal is to make this a fun venue for singles to meet, make lasting friendships, and play the wonderful game of golf.
• Singles on Sailboats (SOS) - is a nonprofit organization for single
  adults who share the love of sailing and want to participate in a wide
  range of sailing related activities including day sails, weekend and
  extended cruises, sailing education, and social functions at sea and
  ashore.
